How to get an Unofficial College Transcript
You may print unofficial copies of your transcript from the e-Grades web page. Unofficial transcripts can only be generated by the student via this web page.
How to Order an Official College Transcript
One transcript will include all academic coursework completed at San Diego City College, San Diego Mesa College, San Diego Miramar College and college studies at the Educational Cultural Complex. The first two transcripts in your lifetime are free. There are TWO WAYS to order official transcripts. Transcripts may NOT be requested by e-mail.
In Person
- On Campus...
- go to the Mesa College accounting office located at
I-412 (first floor) - complete the Transcript Request form
- provide payment
- allow up to 10 working days processing during peak periods.

- provide payment
- you may receive an official transcript immediately, or have it mailed out the next working day.
- special mailing services are available.
By Mail
Write a letter including:
- your name and other names you've attended under
- your complete mailing address
- date of birth
- Social Security Number or student ID
- approximate dates of attendance
- complete address where transcript should be mailed
- your signature
- provide payment
- allow up to 10 working days processing during peak periods
- Cost
- The first two transcripts issued to or for you in your lifetime are free. Thereafter, each transcript costs $5. A $5 fee is charged for "rush" transcripts to be processed within the next working day.
- Express Mail (next day service)
- You must include the amount due for postage ($16.25) in your check or money order for the transcript. A $5 rush fee must be included if you want your request processed within 24 hours (if received by 1:30 p.m. Pacific Time).
- Pick Up
- In person at 3390 Armstrong Street, Bldg. Z-205, San Diego, CA 92111. (NEW Temporary Location (PDF) )
- Priority Mail (2-3 day service)
- You must include the amount due for postage ($4.60) in your check or money order for the transcript. Cost is based on residing in U.S. A $5 rush fee must be included if you want your request processed within the next working day (if received by 1:30 p.m. Pacific Time).
- Authorization
- If another person is ordering and/or picking up your transcript, you need to provide a written letter of authorization including your personal information as well as the person's name who is requesting the transcript on your behalf. A picture ID will be required.
- Payment
- All fees (transcript and special mailing) must be paid at the time of your request. The SDCCD does not bill for transcript fees. Your request will be returned if no payment is included. Checks and money orders should be payable to "San Diego Community College District." Do not send cash.
