The Computer and Information Sciences Department (CIS) offers courses and programs that provide college-level education in computer-related fields. The areas of study covered include:

CIS serves transfer and professional-development students online and on campus. Certificate and Associate's Degree programs are available. Most courses are "hands-on" and incorporate practical activities in our state-of-the-art computer labs on-campus. In additional, a number of our courses are available online (CIS 181, 190, 192, and 193).

Depending on student demand, we anticipate adding courses in the following areas:

CIS works with industry and four-year institutions in San Diego County and beyond to ensure that our courses and programs meet the most urgent needs of these key stakeholders, so that our graduates are highly employable in these lucrative high-technology fields.
