Measles, Mumps and Rubella

We anticipate having this vaccine available at student health services during the Fall 2006 semester. Measles, mumps and rubella are serious diseases. They remain a public health threat. These diseases spread through the air so you can catch them by being around people who have them.

You will not be able to obtain this vaccine at our office:

  1. If you are pregnant you should wait to get the MMR vaccine until after you have given birth. Women should avoid getting pregnant for 4 weeks after getting the MMR vaccine.
  2. If you have ever had a life-threatening reaction to gelatin, the antibiotic neomycin, latex or any of the components of the vaccine.
