Varicella Titer

Varicella is the medical name for chickenpox. If you have documentation of a varicella vaccine, bring it to student health services. If you do not have documentation of a varicella vaccine, and your program requires varicella immunity, then you will need to have blood drawn to be test for this. This blood test is called a varicella titer and this costs $14.00. If you are immune to varicella, then you probably won't get chickenpox is you are exposed to a person with the illness. If you are immune to varicella then you do need to do anything. If you are not, you will need to contact your physician for the vaccination.
