International Education

Study Abroad

Study abroad programs are available every fall and spring semester for a period of 12 weeks in countries such as the United Kingdom, Italy , Costa Rica, Australia, and France. Short-term study abroad programs are also offered during the summer in such countries as Spain and Mexico. Students on these programs study in different countries around the world in order to develop global competencies and to increase cultural awareness while making progress towards completion of academic goals. Classes are taught by San Diego County community college instructors at host institutions abroad. Field trips, excursions, and visits to sites of cultural and historical interest are components of the program. Housing arrangements include family homestays, student apartments, and/or residence halls.
