Walk-in Workshops on Grammar

Having a hard time spotting and correcting a sentencing error? The Writing Center will offer a workshop to any student or group of students having trouble with a particular error in grammar, punctuation, or usage. Interested students need only come to the Writing Center to schedule a workshop.
Each session will run 30 minutes and focus on one type of error. Students are invited to bring examples of errors in their own writing, and any student may participate in as many workshops as he or she pleases.
English 51 Exam Best Practices
Friday, November 7 1:30 - 3:30 pm Room K-210A
The Writing Center will host a workshop on best practices for preparing for the English 51 exam. Space is limited. Only 20 students will be admitted. Students may reserve a seat one week prior to this workshop session.
English 51 Exam Practice Session
Monday through Thursday November 10-13
The Writing Center will host a mock English 51 Exam that will include real-time evaluation and advice for the real thing. Students can experience what it is like to take the exam.
