Counseling and Mental Health Services #
Mesa College's Student Health Services provides a safe and private place for you to
discuss your mental health concerns with a caring professional. Make an appointment
to receive free, one-on-one counseling for issues including stress, anxiety, depression,
loneliness, questions about identity, and other issues you may be experiencing.
Students who are enrolled in a
for credit class at Mesa may receive services at Student Health.
- Students in a non-credit class are not eligible.
- Continuing Education students are not eligible even if they attend on the Mesa Campus.
- SDCCD students who are enrolled in a for-credit class at Mesa, City or Miramar can
go to any Student Health office.
Why Should I See A Counselor?

At Mesa College, counseling services are free because we believe all students
should have the opportunity to speak with a counselor about issues impacting their
mental health. That includes you! We'll help you cope with the stress of college life
and the challenges you face on a daily basis tied to your identity, background, and
experiences. Were here to listen and support you.
Make an Appointment
#
To schedule an appointment to meet with a nurse practitioner, physician,
or counselor, you may either call 619-388-2774 or visit Student Health Services in person in I4-209. Please be prepared to discuss your health concerns so we can find the appropriate
provider for your visit. If you can no longer make your appointment, please call us
at least 24 hours ahead of your scheduled appointment time to cancel or reschedule.
There is a late cancellation/no show fee of $5.00 for all appointment services.
Find a Support Group

Participate in a weekly mental health support group and take advantage
of the opportunity to practice self care, have fun, and make meaningful connections
with your Mesa College peers. Whether you need help with stress management, want to
play games, or are a Black student, LGBTQIA student, or ally hoping to engage in facilitated
dialogue and support, theres a community for you at Mesa College.

provide a diagnosis, it can help you identify problems that may be impacting your

Actively registered San Diego Mesa College students have FREE, 24/7 access
to virtual care services with TimelyCare — a virtual health and well-being platform
designed for college students. Students do not need insurance to access TimelyCare

SDSU Psychology Clinic
Short-term. Doctoral students in clinical psychology. Psychological assessment services.
Individualized and group programs for eating disorders, smoking, high blood pressure,
and other health-related problems. Fees $15-95.

Tuesday-Thursday 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM. Friday Closed.

Center for Mindful Relationships
(Sliding Scale- in some cases) Fees based on net income and the lowest rates with
MFT graduate students start at $40/hr or $50/90min. A couples or family session is
$50/hr or $70/90 minutes. MFT-Is: $90/hour. LMFTs who charge $125/hour. Anger management
classes $25/session -completion certificate after 12 sessions. Classes on Saturday
9am-10:30 and Tuesday 10:30am - noon. Classes are open and can be started at any time.
